Summer means heat and humidity. If you air conditioner has not been properly maintained, this could mean that the heat and humidity are in your home as well. By not having the air conditioning and HVAC system inspected, you run a great chance for a breakdown. This could even be during one of the hottest days of the summer. If you notice anything out of the norm with the HVAC unit, especially this summer, make sure to contact us. We can inspect the system and look for what is causing the issue. This can make repairing it cheaper and quicker than if you allow the issue to get worse.

No longer Cooling

If you notice your home is no longer as cool as and comfortable as it used to be, there are some things you can do to check. Make sure the thermostat is set to the cool setting and is running. If the set temperature is different than the actual temperature, it may mean the thermostat is malfunctioning. It could also mean that the ductwork has been damaged and needs to be repaired. We can inspect the thermostat to ensure it is connected properly to the system.

Remember to Check the Filter

The filter should also be inspected on a regular basis. If you notice that it is dirty or clogged, it will need to be replaced. It is important that you get the right filter for your air conditioner and correct size as well. If you are not sure what type of filter to get, make sure to contact us and we can advise you on the option. We can also inspect and change the filter as well. This will help the air conditioner to remain effective and efficient when you need it this summer. Always remember to never operate the air conditioner without a filter. This is because the dirt and dust it would collect, does damage to the parts of the air conditioner.
